Occupied Sevastopol Was Left Without Power After a Drone Attack
Sevastopol, which is temporarily occupied by Russia, was left completely without power following a drone attack.
According to Razvozhayev, special measures have been implemented at the facilities, and experts are assessing the extent of the damage.
Russian authorities have not specified which energy infrastructure facilities may have been damaged.
Representatives of the Ukrainian underground movement ATESH report that mobile phone service and internet connectivity also began to experience disruptions in the city following the attack. Local residents are also reporting power outages and are posting maps of the outages.
At the same time, power outages are being reported in other temporarily occupied cities in Ukraine. According to ATESH, Berdyansk, Melitopol, and Henichesk remain without power.
At this time, the Russian occupation authorities have not released full information about the consequences of the attack or the extent of the damage.
This was confirmed by Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russian-appointed “governor” of the city.
As a reminder, on the morning of August 13, drones attacked the “Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat” oil refining and petrochemical complex in Bashkortostan. Smoke rose over the plant’s territory following the attack.
Prior to this, the Russian oil refinery “Orsknefteorgsintez” had suspended oil processing following an attack by Ukrainian drones on August 11.
