A map of combat operations in Ukraine as of September 7, 2026, has been released
Over the past 24 hours, on September 6, Russian troops carried out 87 airstrikes, during which they used 313 guided bombs. In addition, the occupiers deployed 8,812 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,646 shelling attacks on positions held by the Ukrainian Defense Forces and populated areas.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck an area where enemy personnel were concentrated and an artillery system over the past 24 hours.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack in the direction of Velykyi Prykol.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Defense Forces repelled 10 attacks. The Russians attempted to advance in the areas of Izbytske and Starytsia, as well as toward Ustynivka and Khatne.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched seven attacks in the areas of Hlushkivka, Kurylivka, and Kivsharivka, as well as toward Novoplatonivka. In the Lyman sector, the occupiers made seven attempts to break through near Dibrova, Stavky, and Lyman, as well as in the directions of Novosergiivka and Novoselivka.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops stormed Ukrainian Armed Forces positions five times; in the Kramatorsk sector, they carried out one attack.
The most intense fighting took place in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors. In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 12 attacks in the Kostiantynivka area and in the directions of Novoselivka and Toretsk. On the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 43 enemy attacks.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, one attack was recorded in the direction of Rybne, while in the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces made seven attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses in the directions of Vozdvizhivka, Kosivtseve, Verkhnia Tersa, and Tsvitkove.
In the Orikhiv and Dnipro sectors, Russian troops did not carry out any offensive operations over the past day.
In the Sumy region, the towns of Korenok, Pysarivka, Ulanove, Prohres, Khotin, Ivolzhanske, Tovstodubove, and Yastrubshchyna came under enemy artillery fire. The Russians also carried out airstrikes on the areas of Yampil, Pysarivka, and Vakali.
