Video: Near Donetsk, occupiers are being buried in a neglected cemetery amid trash
Relatives of several servicemen from the Russian Federation’s 102nd Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment discovered the graves of Russian soldiers at a cemetery for unclaimed bodies in the town of Mospyne, near Donetsk. This was reported by local activists who are searching for missing soldiers.
In a video from the cemetery, which was likely filmed this past spring, the graves can be seen covered in trash. Most of the graves are marked with plaques, and in some cases, crosses have been erected.
The activists claim that the cemetery has effectively turned into an unregulated dump site where the bodies of Russian soldiers killed in the war may be buried. It is located on the outskirts of Mospyne and has existed for over 20 years, although it is not officially marked on maps.
Cemetery director Natalia Pokidina confirmed that the video was likely filmed on this site. According to her, people whose relatives could not be located are buried there, and most of those buried are civilians. She added that military personnel are buried there only in isolated cases.
She also stated that if military personnel are found among the buried, the bodies may be exhumed for DNA testing. At the same time, activists point to various grave markings, including the inscriptions “unknown” and “B/O,” which may indicate that body parts are buried there. The cemetery administration attributes such cases to medical amputations.
