The Alpha Special Operations Unit has destroyed hundreds of air defense systems and is inflicting 20% casualties on the infantry

The “Alpha” Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine celebrated the 32nd anniversary of its founding

Today, this elite unit is one of the most effective within the Defense Forces, and over the past three months, it has consistently led the rankings in terms of the number of enemy personnel and military equipment destroyed using unmanned aerial systems.

Yevhen Khmara, acting head of the SBU, spoke about the special forces’ significant achievements while congratulating the personnel on the anniversary.

According to him, “Alpha” fighters deliver devastating blows to Russian occupation forces on a daily basis, both directly on the front lines and deep behind enemy lines.

Statistics on destroyed equipment since the start of the full-scale invasion demonstrate the colossal scale of the special forces’ operations.

The soldiers have successfully disabled 1,896 tanks, 3,458 armored combat vehicles, 344 multiple launch rocket systems, 3,952 artillery systems, and 649 air defense systems.

In addition, more than 540 electronic warfare and reconnaissance systems have been neutralized, as well as tens of thousands of enemy drones and ground robots.

A separate important area of activity for the “Alpha” Special Operations Center remains the conduct of complex special operations on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Strikes are being carried out against key military and energy infrastructure facilities that support the invading army’s operations.

Among the successfully attacked targets are the Moscow Oil Refinery, the “Tamanneftegaz” terminal, the gas terminal at the port of “Temryuk,” the port facilities at Ust-Lugi, and the Lukoil-Permnaftorgsintez enterprise.

A unique chapter in the unit’s history was the direct precedent set by the execution of a large-scale operation codenamed “Spider Web.”

During the operation, special forces succeeded in striking 41 Russian aircraft, inflicting direct financial losses of over 7 billion dollars on the aggressor state.

This was reported by Yevhen Khmara, acting head of the SBU.
