Poland has deployed its combat aircraft in response to Russia's large-scale air attack on Ukraine

On the night of June 2, amid yet another massive Russian attack on civilian and critical infrastructure in Ukraine, the Polish Armed Forces urgently scrambled their combat aircraft

In addition, the command of the neighboring country decided to place its ground-based air and missile defense systems on high alert.

These measures were taken to ensure security and prevent the violation of the country’s airspace during a Russian missile and drone attack.

“These actions are preventive in nature and aimed at strengthening the security and protection of airspace, particularly in areas adjacent to regions under threat. The assigned forces and assets remain ready for immediate response,” the agency added.

All on-duty radar and reconnaissance crews continuously monitored the flight paths of hostile aerial targets near NATO’s eastern flank.

The press service of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces officially reported on the emergency response and activation of defense protocols on social media.
