A Russian drone struck near the Yagodin border crossing on the border with Poland

A Russian jet-powered drone crashed near the Ukrainian-Polish border. It was flying toward Yagodyn, but it did not directly strike the border crossing in Volyn.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force detected a drone in the Volyn region moving toward the border. In response to the Russian attack on Ukraine’s western regions, the Polish Armed Forces’ Operational Command scrambled combat aircraft and put ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems on high alert. In addition, an air raid siren sounded in the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland.

Throughout the day on September 28, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 124 strike drones, including 86 jet-powered drones, as well as “Gerbera,” “Banderol,” “Dan-T,” and other systems. The Kyiv region was the main target of the airstrike.
