On the night of 28 February, Russia again carried out a massive air assault on Ukraine. Air defence systems neutralised 96 out of 105 drones. The enemy also launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile, according to the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.

According to their data, the attack began around 18:00 on 27 February. In addition to the ballistic missile from Voronezh region, the Russians launched 105 strike drones of various types, including Shahed, Herber, Italmas, and others. About 60 of the drones were Shahed models.

The drones were launched from Russian territory, from directions including Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Millerovo. Launches were also conducted from temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.

The air assault was repelled by aviation, surface-to-air missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone units, and mobile fire groups. “As of 08:00, 96 strike UAVs have been neutralised in the north, south, and east of the country,” the Air Force reported.
