Morning strike by ‘Shaheds’ on Mykolaiv: roof of high-rise building catches fire

On the morning of 1 December, Russian forces again attacked Mykolaiv with Shahed-type strike drones.
Information about the attack and the resulting fire was published by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, on his Telegram channel.

One of the drones hit a residential area, causing the roof of a high-rise building to catch fire. According to the regional military administration, all emergency services are working at the scene to extinguish the fire and eliminate the consequences of the strike.

Local media also reported morning explosions in Mykolaiv, noting that detonations were heard at around 7 a.m. It was after this series of strikes that news emerged about the fire on the roof of the residential building.

Official authorities have not yet provided information on possible casualties from this morning’s attack, emphasising that data is still being verified.

Kim also recalled that the previous day Mykolaiv had already suffered a massive strike by Shahed kamikaze drones.
During that attack, the drones mainly targeted transport and agricultural equipment: nine trucks, two tractors, two cars, and a combine harvester were damaged, and windows were shattered in one of the country houses.

The attack also triggered a fire in a warehouse, but rescuers managed to extinguish it relatively quickly. No casualties were reported from the previous day’s shelling.

Earlier, Russian drones armed with cluster munitions attacked Vyshhorod.
