Russia attacked the Chernihiv region with drones; there are casualties

On August 28, three people were injured in the Chernihiv region as a result of Russian attacks. Two women suffered acoustic trauma after an FPV drone struck the car in which they were traveling. Another man was injured in an attack on a civilian facility.

According to Chaus, Russian troops attacked Chernihiv with a jet drone during the day.

“Yesterday afternoon, the enemy attacked Chernihiv with a jet drone. The explosion damaged non-residential buildings on the grounds of a transportation infrastructure facility. A fire broke out—it was quickly extinguished by rescue workers. A man was injured in the attack and received medical attention,” Chaus wrote.

Another attack occurred in the afternoon in Semenivka. Russian troops directed an FPV drone at a passenger car carrying two women.

As a result of the strike, the 39-year-old driver and her 42-year-old passenger suffered acoustic trauma. The victims were taken to the hospital.

Later that night, another Russian FPV drone attacked an administrative building in Semenivka.

The strike damaged windows and the roof.

In addition, in the evening, Russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure with FPV drones in one of the villages of the Novhorod-Siverskyi community.

Russian strikes on civilian targets in the Chernihiv region continue to cause harm to people and the region’s infrastructure.

This was reported by Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.

On the night of August 29, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using missiles and 267 attack drones.

In the Odesa region, one person was killed and three others were injured as a result of the enemy strike. The attack also caused eight cargo trucks carrying food to catch fire.

On the afternoon of August 28, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with seven “Bandera” missiles and 96 attack drones. Most of the drones were jet-powered, and the enemy directed a significant portion of them toward Kyiv.
