Russia attacked the Orlivka border crossing on the border with Romania

Overnight, Russian forces attacked the “Orlivka” international ferry crossing on the Ukrainian-Romanian border with Shahed strike drones.

As a result of the Russian attack, hits were recorded on the building and the territory of the crossing point. Fires broke out after the strike, but rescue workers have already contained them.

The Ukrainian side has informed its Romanian counterparts of the situation.

Due to the consequences of the attack, traffic is being rerouted to other checkpoints, and the processing of citizens and vehicles through “Orlivka” has been temporarily suspended.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine asks citizens to take these temporary restrictions into account when planning to cross the state border.

Border guards also noted that this is not the first time Russian troops have attacked the “Orlivka” border crossing, which provides ferry service between Ukraine and Romania.

For now, citizens are advised to use alternative border crossing points until the “Orlivka” checkpoint resumes operations.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS).

Since the evening of August 31, Russian troops have attacked three districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times with aerial bombs and drones. The strikes damaged apartment buildings and a supermarket.

Earlier, Russia attacked a facility in Novhorod-Siverskyi.

As a reminder, one person was killed and eight were wounded in a massive attack on the Kyiv region.

Russia also launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv overnight, resulting in fatalities.
