Russia has attacked Zmiyiv in the Kharkiv region twice; a child is among the casualties

On the evening of August 27, Russian forces attacked the town of Zmiiv in the Chuhuiv District of Kharkiv Oblast twice with rocket-powered drones. One person was killed and two others were injured as a result of the Russian attack, including a child.

One of the strikes was recorded in a residential area of Zmiiv. The attack caused two private homes to catch fire; people were inside the homes at the time of the strike.

The fire covered an area of 120 square meters.

Despite the threat of repeat attacks, rescue workers quickly extinguished the fire and worked to address the consequences of the Russian strike.

Units of the State Emergency Service, a community rescue officer, and municipal equipment were deployed to carry out the work.

According to preliminary reports, one person was killed as a result of the Russian attack on Zmiyiv.

Two more people were injured, including a child.

Rescue workers continued efforts to address the aftermath of the strike and assist the victims.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

On the night of August 28, Russian troops launched a strike with four KAB bombs on the “Nova Poshta” sorting center in Sumy. The terminal was destroyed in the attack, but all employees survived.

Prior to this, Russia had attacked a Nova Poshta warehouse in the Kyiv region.

As a reminder, Russia carried out more than 860 strikes on Zaporizhzhia over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Russian oil refinery “Orsknefteorgsintez” halted oil processing following an attack by Ukrainian drones on August 11.

Earlier, the General Staff confirmed a strike on the TANECO oil refinery in Tatarstan.
