Russia has intensified its offensive in the Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka sectors — General Staff
On August 27, 250 combat engagements took place on the front lines between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors—40 and 35, respectively.
The Russian Armed Forces carried out 86 airstrikes using 274 guided bombs, deployed 10,602 kamikaze drones, and carried out 3,396 shelling attacks, including 76 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Artillery shelling targeted Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Bezzalivka, Korenok, Ulanove, Hirky, Iskryskivshchyna, Malushyne, Vintorivka, Yastrubshchyna, Zhuravka, Potapivka, and Chuikivka in Sumy Oblast; as well as Kamyanska and Kovpynka in Chernihiv Oblast. Tovstodubove was hit by an airstrike.
The Defense Forces’ air force, missile forces, and artillery struck nine areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, as well as a gun and a UAV command post.
Two enemy assaults were recorded in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions. The aggressor carried out 45 shelling attacks, two of which involved the use of multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS).
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Ukrainian units repelled 12 attacks toward Kozacha Lopana, Hoptivka, Grafske, Rubizhne, Staritsa, Dovhenke, Radkivka, Okhrimivka, Chuhunivka, and Zakharivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 11 attempts by the invaders to attack toward Lyman and in the areas of Novyi Mir, Novoselivka, Shyikivka, and Cherneshchyna.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces carried out seven assaults in the area of Kryva Luka and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders carried out one offensive operation toward Malynivka.
In the Kostyantynivka sector, 35 attacks were recorded in the areas of Kostyantynivka, Oleksievo-Druzhkivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Rusyno Yar, Novopavlivka, Sofiivka, Kucheryvyi Yar, and Dovha Balka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces carried out 40 attacks toward Bilytske, Dobropillia, Hannivka, Chernihivka, Svitle, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, and in the areas of Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched four attacks in the areas of Myrne, Rybne, and Zlagoda.
In the Huliaipole sector, the invaders launched seven attacks toward Vozdvizhivka, Chervona Krynytsia, Verkhnia Tersa, and Huliaipole.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, and Stepnogorsk.
In the Dnipro sector, the enemy attempted to improve its positions once.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.
