Rescue workers showed the aftermath of the attack on a train in the Odesa region
The State Emergency Service and the Odesa Regional Military Administration have released photos of the locomotive that was damaged as a result of the Russian attack. The photos show the condition of the train after the strike.
Following the attack, rescue workers, along with other emergency services, evacuated 317 passengers, including 67 children. The damaged locomotive caught fire, but the blaze was quickly extinguished.
Two members of the locomotive crew—the engineer and his assistant—were killed in the attack.
Rescue workers, together with other emergency services, evacuated 317 passengers from the train, including 67 children. The passengers were taken to a safe distance. Twelve buses from the State Emergency Service, as well as from communities in the Berezivka District and Odesa, were deployed to transport the passengers.
