Russia struck Lozova; the train station was damaged, and one person was killed
On the night of September 21, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Lozova in the Kharkiv region. The attack damaged the train station and resulted in one fatality.
The attack on Lozova began around 3:00 a.m. on September 21. As a result of the strikes, a fire broke out in a two-story apartment building in the city.
The fire engulfed a 200-square-meter section of the roof.
“Three civilians were injured, and rescuers saved one person. The body of a woman who died was recovered from the rubble,” rescuers reported.
The strike also targeted railway infrastructure, according to the State Emergency Service.
Earlier on September 20, Russian forces launched a missile strike on a farm in the Lozivskyi district. The fire then spread over an area of 500 square meters.
According to the State Emergency Service, eight fires broke out in the Kharkiv region in just one day due to Russian shelling. Firefighters were battling blazes in several districts of the region simultaneously.
“An apartment building, warehouses and outbuildings, a farm, and cars were on fire,” the State Emergency Service reported.
Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia, noted that Lozova has suffered a massive attack at least twice in the past month and a half.
“All targets during today’s latest airstrike on Lozova were in shelters,” Pertsovskyi said.
As a reminder, Moscow did not warn of the drone attack so as not to reduce voter turnout in the elections.
As a result of Russian attacks on September 20 in the Zhytomyr region, a fire broke out at a transportation infrastructure facility, and dry grass also caught fire.
The death toll from Russian attacks in the Kyiv region has risen to four. A child who was injured during a strike on the Vyshhorod district died in the hospital. Among the dead are three children and a woman.
Due to the fires in the Kyiv region, the capital may experience smoke and the smell of burning.
