Ivan Fedorov, co-chair of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Defense Council, also confirmed the strike on the shopping center. Based on the photos he posted, it appears that the “Amstor” shopping center was hit. The images show a massive fire and thick smoke rising from the site of the strike.
At the same time, local authorities urged people not to panic over the damage to stores and not to create a rush on retail chains. Mykhailo Semikin separately noted that Russian strikes are effectively destroying food supplies. He urged city residents not to stockpile goods in large quantities. “The enemy is depleting supplies of buckwheat and salt, but do not give in to panic and do not hoard food on an industrial scale,” the head of the Regional Military Administration urged.

Zaporizhzhia regularly suffers from Russian strikes. Russian troops are attacking the city and the region with missiles, strike drones, and other types of weaponry.
