A Russian attack damaged Svitolina and Stakhovsky's padel club
In Kyiv, the Svito padel club, founded by Elina Svitolina and Serhiy Stakhovsky, was damaged as a result of a Russian nighttime attack. The facility sustained damage from the blast wave.
“The Svito facility was damaged by the blast wave from the nighttime attack. No one was injured, and that’s the most important thing.

Ukrainian tennis players Elina Svitolina and Serhiy Stakhovsky opened their own padel club, Svito, which began operations in April of this year. It is located in the Podil district at the Garage hub and features seven indoor courts.
Padel is a racket sport. Padel is typically played in doubles on an enclosed court that is about 25% smaller than a tennis court. Scoring is the same as in regular tennis. The main differences are that the court is surrounded by walls, and balls can bounce off them as in squash; the game is played with hard, stringless rackets.

On September 8, Russian troops launched two “Shahed” drones at a train traveling from Kyiv to Sumy. The train had been stopped in advance, and passengers and crew members were evacuated following a warning from the Ukrzaliznytsia monitoring team.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region due to the Russian attack.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
Later, rescue workers showed the aftermath of the strikes on Kyiv.
