Russian occupiers killed two people in the Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, on July 17, Russian forces launched strikes on Kharkiv and 29 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 18 others were wounded in the shelling; among the casualties were five children.
In Kharkiv, a 40-year-old man was killed as a result of a missile strike and drone attacks on the Osnovyansky, Kyivsky, Saltivsky, and Shevchenkivsky districts. Nine people were injured, including two boys aged 2 and 7.
In Izium, seven people were injured, including an 8-year-old boy and girls aged 13 and 16. In the village of Seredivka in the Vovchanska community, a 78-year-old man was killed, and another 47-year-old local resident suffered an acute stress reaction. Near the village of Kyrylivka in the Starosaltivska community, a 47-year-old man sustained blast injuries.

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has used two missiles, seven guided aerial bombs, three “Geran-2” drones, six “Molniya” UAVs, nine FPV drones, and 33 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of a type yet to be identified.
The shelling damaged residential buildings, cafes, a public transportation stop, stores, a cultural facility, outbuildings, hangars, cars, a moped, and a postal kiosk in the Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Chuhuiv, and Berestyn districts.

As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, on July 17, the Chernihiv region came under attack by enemy drones. Fires broke out in several districts at once, which have already been extinguished by Ukrainian rescue workers.
On the night of July 17–18, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine, using seven missiles and 90 attack drones. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed most of the aerial targets, but were unable to prevent some hits.
As a result of a Russian guided airstrike on Izyum in the Kharkiv region on July 17, the number of casualties rose to seven.
