Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia and killed a person
Occupation forces of the Russian Federation launched another attack on residential areas of Zaporizhzhia, resulting in one fatality.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported on the tragic consequences of the enemy attack, noting that the shelling caused widespread destruction and fires.
In addition to the fatality, four local residents sustained injuries of varying severity.
Currently, medical personnel are providing necessary assistance to the victims, and emergency services continue to clear debris at the impact sites to identify any other possible victims.
Enemy shells struck residential areas and non-residential buildings, causing significant fires.
Rescuers from the State Emergency Service responded promptly to calls to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring homes.
“Unfortunately, one person was killed. As a result of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia, a fire broke out, and private homes and non-residential buildings were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate that four people were injured,” Ivan Fedorov wrote on his official channel.
Local authorities note that an air raid alert was in effect in the city during the attack, and residents reported a series of repeated explosions.
The situation in the regional center remains tense due to the threat of further shelling by Russian occupiers.
Law enforcement agencies are already documenting the consequences of yet another war crime against the civilian population. Investigators are documenting damage to citizens’ property so that this evidence can be used in future criminal proceedings against the aggressor.
