Over the past few days, Russian troops have advanced on three fronts simultaneously in the Donetsk region.

According to their reports, the occupiers have made gains near Kaleniky on the Sloviansk front, in the Ivanopil area near Kostiantynivka, and near Shakove and Novoye Shakove on the Dobropillia front.

Analysts note that the Russian army continues to put pressure on Kostiantynivka from three directions simultaneously, actively using attack drones and guided aerial bombs.

According to DeepState’s assessment, more than half of Kostiantynivka’s territory is currently marked on the map as a “gray zone,” indicating active combat operations and the infiltration of Russian units.

As of August 8, 2026, the total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine amount to approximately 1,456,610 soldiers.

On August 7, there were 192 combat engagements between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops on the front lines. The occupiers were most active in the Pokrovsk direction—25 assaults were recorded there over the past 24 hours, and Ukrainian forces neutralized 56 Russian soldiers.

Russian troops have made new advances near Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. Changes along the front line were documented by the DeepState monitoring project.
