The Russian oil refinery Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat in Bashkortostan has suspended operations following a drone attack

Russia’s last “gasoline” oil refinery—Gazprom Neftohim Salavat, located in Bashkortostan—has completely halted operations. The cause was a drone attack on the night of July 14.

According to sources who spoke with journalists, Ukrainian drones successfully struck and damaged both primary oil refining units—AVT-6 and AVT-4. The AVT-6 unit, designed to process a mixture of crude oil and gas condensate, accounts for about 60% of the plant’s capacity, while the AVT-4 accounts for the remaining 40%.

Experts note that it will take the plant anywhere from several weeks to several months to address the damage caused by the strikes and at least partially resume the refining process.

This was reported by ZN.

On the night of July 14, drones attacked one of Russia’s largest petrochemical complexes—the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat plant in Bashkortostan. The Afipsk Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar Krai was also targeted.

Ukrainian UAVs attacked energy facilities and air defense systems in occupied Crimea.
