A Russian Shahed drone destroyed a modular shelter in Kramatorsk
On August 18 in Kramatorsk, a Russian “Shahed” struck a modular shelter. The protective structure sustained significant damage from the direct hit.
Footage released shows that the blast wave damaged the reinforced concrete sections of the shelter. Part of the roof collapsed, the structure shifted, and rebar was exposed in the upper part of the building.
The modular shelter was intended to protect people during air raid alerts, yet it was the very structure that came under Russian attack.
After the attack, the structure was left partially destroyed. The footage shows the extent of the damage to the reinforced concrete structures following a direct hit by an enemy drone.
As a reminder, on August 18, 2026, jet-powered drones were first detected in western Ukraine. They traveled approximately 900 km from their launch site.
