A Russian attack on the energy sector left 100,000 customers in the Chernihiv region without power
About 100,000 customers in the Chernihiv region were left without power due to a Russian attack on an energy facility in a neighboring region. Power utility workers are already working to restore power.
“As a result of the enemy’s attack on an energy facility in a neighboring region, approximately 100,000 customers in the Koryukivka, Novhorod-Siverskyi, Nizhyn, and Chernihiv districts have lost power,” Chernihivoblenergo reported late on the night of September 22.
Specialists are currently working to restore power. The company did not specify which power facility was attacked or when power would be restored to all customers.
In Zaporizhzhia, a shopping center was destroyed as a result of a Russian UAV attack. One person was injured in the strike.
On the night of September 19–20, 2026, a Russian missile and drone attack destroyed the “Ventilation Systems” plant in Boyarka.
Russia also struck Lozova, damaging the train station and causing one fatality.
On September 21, Russia attacked two districts in the Kyiv region.
