After the attack on Kyiv, Sibiga called on the West to step up pressure on Russia

Following a massive Russian attack on Kyiv, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga called on international partners to intensify sanctions and military pressure on Russia.

According to the foreign minister, Russia fired about 40 ballistic missiles during the nighttime shelling—the largest number since the start of the full-scale war.

Sybiga stressed the need to immediately unblock the European Union’s 21st sanctions package, expedite the delivery of additional missile defense systems to Ukraine, and intensify the efforts of the international anti-ballistic coalition.

The minister also stated that any delays in delivering defense systems cost human lives, and that attempts to reinstate Russia in international sports competitions are unacceptable in light of its war crimes.

According to Sibiga, the Kremlin can only be stopped through decisive action and by providing Ukraine with all the necessary means of defense.
