Ukrainian Air Defence Forces destroy 29 enemy drones
On the night of 19 February, Russian occupation forces attacked Ukrainian territory using 37 strike drones of various types, according to a Telegram report from the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Thanks to the coordinated work of air defence units, most enemy targets were successfully destroyed or neutralised.
The Air Forces command specified that the enemy launched drones from multiple directions: Bryansk region, Kursk region, and temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk region. Among the attacking equipment, approximately 20 Shaheddrones were identified, as well as UAVs of the Gerber and Italmas types.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups, aviation, and electronic warfare units.
As of 08:30, 29 enemy drones were confirmed destroyed or suppressed across northern, southern, and eastern regions of Ukraine.
Despite the effective work of air defenders, some strike drones hit four locations. Emergency response and damage assessment are ongoing to clarify the impact on civilian and energy infrastructure in the affected areas.
For reference, Russian forces previously attacked critical infrastructure in Lozova. Additionally, the occupiers targeted two districts of Dnipropetrovsk region with artillery and drones.
