Syrskyi reports increased activity of Russian occupying forces on the frontline
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported an intensification of Russia’s offensive actions on the frontline. He held a working meeting with unit commanders, during which they thoroughly discussed the operational situation and ways to strengthen defensive capabilities. During the meeting, priority steps were identified to preserve the lives of servicemen and maintain the resilience of units. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We thoroughly reviewed the operational situation and summarized practical experience of operations in complex and dynamic conditions of modern warfare,” Syrskyi emphasized. Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the role of commanders in maintaining command and control as well as the resilience of units. Discussions focused on effective coordination, logistical support, organization of medical evacuation, and resolving pressing issues on the ground.
The Commander-in-Chief stressed: “Taking into account the enemy’s build-up of reserves and the intensification of offensive actions, we assessed changes in their tactics and possible scenarios for the development of the situation. We identified priority steps to strengthen the stability of the defense and to maximize the preservation of personnel lives.”
In addition, Syrskyi recognized servicemen who demonstrated courage, endurance, and high professionalism in combat. He presented honorary badges “Steel Cross,” “Silver Cross,” and “Cross ‘Military Honor.’” These awards symbolize gratitude for bravery, skill, and dedication to service to Ukraine. “Such awards are not only recognition of courage, but also an example for all our units of how important it is to maintain discipline and effectiveness in the most difficult conditions,” Syrskyi added.

The meeting also addressed possible changes in enemy tactics and prepared an action plan in case of an escalation of the combat situation. The tasks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remain unchanged — to preserve the lives of personnel and hold the defense along all directions of the frontline.
