Sumy Oblast has allocated an additional 10 million hryvnias for the purchase of mobile shelters
The Sumy region has allocated an additional 10 million hryvnias from the regional budget to purchase mobile shelters for Sumy residents.
This was announced on August 5 by Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration. According to him, the relevant order has already been signed.
“This is an additional resource for the region to strengthen the protection of people during enemy attacks,” Grigorov noted.
The selection of certified mobile shelters that can be quickly purchased and installed is currently underway. At the same time, locations are being identified where they will be placed first.
In addition, another 30 mobile shelters are being purchased using funds from the Sumy city community budget. According to local authorities, their phased installation is set to begin in the coming weeks.

As a reminder, two young girls—10-year-old Sofia and 5-year-old Emilia—were killed on August 4 as a result of a Russian strike with guided bombs on Sumy. The children were in their own home when the Russian attack cut short their lives. Photos of the deceased sisters have appeared online.
Ukrainians have the right to stay in shelters with their pets during air raid alerts; however, pet owners are required to follow rules that ensure safety for both their pets and other people.
