The Third Army Corps has launched an offensive in the Donetsk region: the first results are in
The Third Army Corps has launched the “Vivaldi” offensive in the north of Donetsk Oblast. Ukrainian forces have already cleared several settlements. According to military officials, this is only the first stage of a larger plan that will be implemented over the course of “four seasons.”
What is known about the “Vivaldi” offensive operation
Under a media blackout, Ukrainian forces eliminated enemy infiltration pockets and cleared 75 square kilometers of territory. Another 10 square kilometers have been de-occupied.
Ukrainian units liberated Seredne and cleared the following areas of infiltrators:
Novoselivka
Oleksandrivka
Yarova
the outskirts of Korovyi Yar.
The offensive dealt a devastating blow to the combat effectiveness of Russia’s 20th and 25th Armies. Enemy losses at this stage amount to:
about 1,500 soldiers
over 12,000 drones
hundreds of armored vehicles, artillery systems, and motor vehicles.
The enemy has changed its logistics
Due to the corps’ strikes, Russian troops relocated their fuel and lubricant supplies outside Ukraine—to the Voronezh region. There, a pipeline was dismantled and warehouses were moved.
At the same time, drone units cut off the enemy’s supply routes.
“This is only the first season”
Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky stated that the ultimate goal of the operation is not limited to reaching the Chornyi Zherebets River.
“There is currently a lot of information in open sources suggesting that the ultimate goal of our offensive operations is to reach the banks of the Chornyi Zherebets River. But our operation is called ‘Vivaldi.’ And in Vivaldi, as we know, there are four seasons. And this is only the first of them. So stay tuned for our official announcements and don’t rush to spoil the story. There will be good news,” Biletsky said.
Meanwhile, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz warned that the coming weeks and months will be decisive for preserving peace in Europe.
This was reported with reference to a statement by Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky, commander of the Third Army Corps.
