Internet service disruptions occurred in Kyiv following a Russian attack on a data center
In Kyiv, damage to a data center caused by a Russian attack led to service disruptions for some internet service providers.
The Russian attack on the capital on the morning of September 23 caused damage to civilian and transportation infrastructure in several districts of Kyiv.
The company “Pavutina” reported a major incident that damaged one of its data centers.
Due to the damage to the infrastructure, some of the provider’s equipment cannot operate normally, which may cause disruptions in internet access for some subscribers.
UTELS reported a similar issue.
According to company representatives, a Russian attack damaged a data center in Kyiv where the provider’s main equipment is located.
Currently, the equipment is without power, so some subscribers may experience disruptions in internet service and other services.
UTELS’ official website states that the company has its own data center for hosting server and network equipment, and its infrastructure includes a backup power supply.
No timeline has been provided for the full restoration of the damaged data centers. Providers must assess the extent of the damage and restore equipment operations once safe access to the facilities has been ensured.
Users experiencing connectivity issues should monitor official announcements from their internet service providers.

Eight people were injured in Kyiv as a result of the Russian attack on September 23. One of the injured, who was hospitalized in critical condition, died in the hospital, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

On the night of September 22–23, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 161 strike drones of various types. Among them were 82 jet-powered UAVs. As of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces had destroyed or neutralized 119 enemy drones and three additional “Banderole”/“Dan-T” drones.
Since the evening of September 22, Russian troops have attacked two districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 10 times. The occupiers used drones and dropped aerial bombs; one person was injured as a result of the attacks.
We should add that drones attacked the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions overnight.
As a reminder, Russia struck Kharkiv on the night of September 23, resulting in one fatality.
