In Crimea, the Defense Forces struck Russian drone depots and launch sites
On August 28 and during the night of August 29, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of military facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers. Among the targets hit were storage, training, and launch sites for attack drones, a UAV command post, and an electronic warfare complex.
According to the General Staff, facilities where Russian troops stored, prepared, and launched attack drones were struck in the Donetsk area of Donetsk Oblast and in Hvardiyisk in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
In addition, near Znamianka in occupied Crimea, the Ukrainian military struck a Russian electronic warfare complex.
Another target was a drone command post in Berestky, Donetsk Oblast.
The General Staff noted that the extent of the damage inflicted on the enemy is currently being assessed.
Separately, the Defense Forces confirmed the destruction of a Russian “Buk-M3” anti-aircraft missile system.
Based on an analysis of additional data, it was determined that on August 28, the “Buk-M3” system was destroyed in the Klintsy area of the Bryansk Oblast in the Russian Federation.
“Operations against key enemy military targets are ongoing,” the General Staff concluded.
Thus, the Ukrainian military continues to strike targets that support the use of Russian drones, as well as air defense systems and command-and-control facilities.

Ukrainian border guards in the south detected and struck Russian military positions, destroying a number of enemy targets.
The total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine—from February 24, 2022, to August 29, 2026—amount to approximately 1,485,200 soldiers.
