The number of casualties in Kryvyi Rih has risen following the strike on the shopping center

The death toll in Kryvyi Rih has risen following a Russian strike on a shopping center. The Regional Military Administration reported that five people have died so far, and another 52 have been injured, including six children.

 

Initial reports indicated two fatalities, but the death toll has risen to five, according to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. Another 52 people were injured, including six children. Medical personnel continue to treat the wounded. Information regarding their condition and the total number of victims may be subject to change.

Law enforcement officers are continuing their work

Rescue workers, medical personnel, and law enforcement officers are on the scene following the attack. Experts continue to assess the aftermath of the strike and determine the full circumstances of the tragedy. Prosecutors are documenting the damage and collecting evidence for criminal proceedings regarding a war crime.

Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation has been launched under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. As of now, five people are known to have died and 52 have been injured, including six children. Rescue and investigative efforts are ongoing, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

On August 21, Russian troops attacked Kryvyi Rih’s largest shopping complex with a strike drone. The strike caused a fire, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
