Moscow Region claims attack by 650 Ukrainian drones — RMF24
In Russia, the aggressor state, officials reported a drone attack on Moscow and the Moscow Region from Monday evening until Tuesday morning. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claims that the region was attacked by 650 Ukrainian drones. As RMF24 reports, at least one person was killed and six others were injured.
Air defense operations and airport restrictions
According to Sobyanin, most of the drones were allegedly destroyed by Russian air defense. He stated that 105 drones were destroyed near Moscow. He claimed that the drones were approaching the capital and the region from several directions.
At around 3 a.m., explosions and air defense activity could still be heard in the region, according to the outlet. Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov reported the fatality and injuries on Telegram. Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency temporarily suspended flights at Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky airports.

Reports of possible targets
One possible target of the attack may have been the Moscow Oil Refinery in the Kapotnya district, owned by Gazprom Neft. There is no official confirmation of damage to the facility or of a shutdown or restriction of its production.
Reports also emerged of a fire at the largest fuel depot and at the Volodarskaya oil pumping station near the village of Konstantinovo in the Moscow Region. Ukrainian media reported that tanks had caught fire, but the scale of the destruction has not been officially confirmed.
At the same time, Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia and one of the bridges across the Dnipro. Five people were injured, including two Red Cross employees who were travelling to work. The crossing was temporarily closed to traffic after the strike.
