On Friday, September 4, a fire broke out in the Solomyanskyi district of the capital. According to media reports, the cause may have been a suspected strike by a Russian drone on an airplane at Zhuliany Airport.

They noted that a column of smoke was seen over Kyiv following the explosion.

According to preliminary information, a Russian drone may have struck an aircraft at Zhuliany Airport; however, there is currently no official confirmation of this information.

Meanwhile, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that a fire broke out on the grounds of a non-residential building in Kyiv’s Solomyanskyi district. Emergency services are already heading to the scene, he added.
