Ukrainian UAVs disabled a Russian "Kasta" radar station in the Zaporizhzhia region — General Staff
Ukrainian defense forces struck a Russian “Kasta-2E2” radar station in the Zaporizhzhia region. Attack drones hit the complex’s antenna and control station.
According to the General Staff, the strike took place on September 1 in the Vyshneve area. Objective monitoring confirmed that both components of the radar station were destroyed.
The “Kasta-2E2” is a mobile three-coordinate station designed to detect and track air targets at low and extremely low altitudes. It is capable of detecting aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, and drones and transmitting data to Russian air defense forces.
The station’s detection range is 5 to 150 km, and the target detection altitude is up to 6 km. The estimated cost of such a system, depending on the configuration, can reach $60 million.

The day before, the Russian oil refinery “Kirishinefteorgsintez” in the Leningrad Oblast completely halted oil refining following a drone attack on August 30. According to Reuters, two primary refining units at the plant were damaged, while two others were not in operation at the time of the strike.
Russia has reportedly restored 90% of the oil refining capacity damaged as a result of Ukrainian attacks. According to Vladimir Putin, about 10% of Russian refineries’ capacity remains damaged at this time.
