Ukrainian paratroopers are imposing their own rules of engagement on the Oleksandrivka front
Servicemen of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Polissya Brigade are successfully carrying out an offensive operation in the Oleksandrivka sector, having seized the initiative from the enemy.
Brigade Commander Colonel Ruslan Maryshev stated in an interview with Ukrinform that the situation on this section of the front is currently favorable for carrying out the tasks assigned by the senior military leadership.
According to the brigade commander, Ukrainian defenders are operating at maximum intensity to deny the occupying forces any opportunity to regroup.
The paratroopers’ strategy consists of constant fire and maneuver pressure, which prevents the enemy from bringing in reserves or regrouping units.
“Currently, the situation in the Oleksandrivka sector is favorable for implementing the planned measures set by senior leadership. Therefore, the brigade continues to conduct operations in accordance with the approved plan,” Ruslan Maryshev noted.
The tactics of the Russian invaders in this sector remain formulaic and do not include any new approaches that could catch the Armed Forces of Ukraine off guard.
The enemy continues to employ “human wave” assaults, sending infantry on doomed attacks without adequate support.
“They also send their troops in small or medium-sized groups on assaults that yield no results. Sometimes there are motorized groups, which our paratroopers also destroy. The enemy is unable to regain lost ground,” added the brigade commander.
The colonel emphasized that the fundamental philosophy of the Russian Federation’s war is based on a complete disregard for the value of human life.
The Russian command continues to sacrifice personnel for minimal tactical objectives, which is a key characteristic of their concept of warfare.
Despite the difficult conditions, the Ukrainian command sees real prospects for further advancement and building on success.
Ruslan Maryshev is convinced that an active offensive is necessary to minimize our own losses and ultimately exhaust the aggressor’s resources.
As a reminder, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have denied reports of the loss of the villages of Platonivka and Minkivka in the Donetsk region.
Also, since the start of the day, Russian occupiers have attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 49 times, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
