Ukrainian military officials have refuted Russia's claims that Dobropillya has been surrounded
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the “Center” military group had allegedly completed the encirclement of the defensive stronghold in Dobropillya and is continuing its advance toward Oleksandrivka. Ukrainian servicemen holding the line in this sector have denied these claims.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, units of the 4th and 15th Brigades of the Ukrainian National Guard, as well as the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya,” have allegedly been surrounded.
Mykita Nadtochiy, acting commander of the National Guard’s 1st “Azov” Corps, stated that Dobropillia remains under Ukrainian control, and that Russian assault units are suffering casualties even before reaching the Ukrainian positions.
Vadym Krykun, commander of the 20th Special Operations Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Lyubart,” Vadym Krykun, reported that his unit is holding a defensive line and, together with adjacent forces, is repelling Russian assaults and detecting enemy groups attempting to infiltrate the space between positions.
Maksym Kravets, first deputy commander and chief of staff of the 14th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Chervona Kalyna,” also stated that reports of Dobropillia being surrounded or a breakthrough in the direction of Oleksandrivka have not been confirmed on the front lines.
According to him, Russian troops are attempting to infiltrate the space between positions in small groups, but Ukrainian units are detecting and eliminating them. Kravets claims that over the past month, within the brigade’s area of responsibility, Russian forces have lost up to 210 soldiers killed and up to 60 wounded, as well as about seven pieces of military equipment.
Stanislav Korynets, head of intelligence for the 25th Separate Assault Regiment “Lynx,” called the Russian side’s statements an attempt to demonstrate successes to its audience amid reports of actions by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Mykita Plihun, commander of the 4th Operational Brigade “Rubizh” of the National Guard of Ukraine, reported that his unit repels four to six attempts by Russian forces to approach the front line every day. According to him, assault groups are being eliminated by strike drones even before they reach Ukrainian positions.
According to Pavlo Yatsyuk, head of the National Guard’s “Omega” Special Operations Center, since the beginning of the year, the unit has eliminated nearly 1,500 Russian soldiers, about 1,000 pieces of equipment, 3,700 drones, and approximately 100 artillery systems.
Dmytro Semenyuk, commander of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya,” noted that thanks to coordination among units, Russian troops are being eliminated before they even approach Ukrainian positions.
Oleksandr Ryasnyi, commander of the 15th Special Operations Brigade “Kara-Dag” of the National Guard of Ukraine, emphasized that forces of the 1st Corps “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine, together with adjacent units, continue to defend designated lines.

Defense forces are controlling Dobropillya and eliminating the occupiers’ assault groups, according to Azov.
As of September 25, there had been 167 combat engagements on the front lines. Russian troops carried out 56 airstrikes, dropped 190 guided bombs, launched over 4,300 kamikaze drones, and carried out 1,816 artillery strikes. The Ukrainian military repelled the most attacks in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk directions.
As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, Russian invaders suffered 1,520 casualties. Additionally, one tank, five armored combat vehicles, and 73 artillery systems were destroyed.
Occupied Donetsk and a significant portion of the region’s territory temporarily seized by Russian terrorists were left without power on September 18.
On the night of Saturday, September 19, the Russian terrorist army struck Pavlohrad. A fire has been reported.
