Ukrainian drones halted operations at a Russian oil refinery in Orsk — Reuters
The Russian oil refinery "Orsknefteorgsintez" halted oil refining operations following an attack by Ukrainian drones on August 11.
The strike caused a fire at the facility, and some of the oil refining equipment was damaged, forcing the plant to suspend operations.
According to the publication, the attack caused a fire at the facility, and one of the drones damaged part of the refining units. The plant is located approximately 1,900 km from the border with Ukraine.
Orsknefteorgsintez’s nominal capacity is 5.76 million metric tons of crude oil per year—about 115,200 barrels per day.
According to industry sources, the plant processed 4.2 million metric tons of crude oil in 2024. The facility produced about 1.8 million metric tons of diesel fuel, 600,000 metric tons of gasoline, 500,000 metric tons of bitumen, and 200,000 metric tons of fuel oil.

As a reminder, a Russian attack on the Poltava region damaged a gas station and a facility.
In Dnipro on Friday, August 7, a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse was destroyed as a result of an attack. There were no people on the premises at the time of the strike, and no casualties were reported.
Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 troops and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of Russian shelling.
