An An-26 military transport plane crashed in Crimea after hitting a cliff. The crash killed 29 people.

Contact with the plane was lost on March 31 at around 6:00 p.m. Moscow time. It was on a scheduled flight over Crimea.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the plane was not affected by external factors and was not attacked. Search and rescue teams were dispatched to the crash site, where they discovered the plane’s wreckage and the bodies of the victims.
According to updated information, there were six crew members and twenty-three passengers on board, all of whom were killed.
The Ministry of Defense cites a technical malfunction of the aircraft as the preliminary cause of the crash. A special commission from the ministry is working at the scene to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
