Video: Poland Confirms Drone Crashed 2 km from Its Border

On the afternoon of September 28, a Russian Geran-5 jet drone struck Ukrainian territory approximately two kilometers from the border crossing with Poland at Yagodyn-Dorohusk. This was reported by Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

The official noted that on that day, Russia attacked western regions of Ukraine, among other areas, using strike drones. According to him, Poland’s airspace was not violated during this attack.

Kosiniak-Kamysz also added that after the air raid alert was lifted, Polish aircraft returned to their bases, and air defense systems switched to surveillance and standby mode.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force detected a drone in the Volyn region moving toward the border. In response to the Russian attack on Ukraine’s western regions, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces scrambled combat aircraft.

Throughout the day on September 28, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 124 strike drones, 86 of which were jet-powered, as well as “Gerbera,” “Banderol,” “Dan-T,” and other systems. The Kyiv region was the main target of the airstrike.
