Video: Russia launched a targeted drone strike on a school in Kyiv
A video has been posted online showing the moment a Russian drone struck a public school in the Solomyanskyi District of Kyiv. The footage captures the strike on the civilian educational institution, which occurred on October 1, 2026.
The video shows a Russian drone flying at an extremely low altitude and striking the central part of the school’s facade, located in a residential neighborhood of the capital.

After the drone struck at the third-floor level, a powerful explosion rang out, immediately followed by a burst of flames and a thick column of black smoke rising into the sky.

In September 2026, air raid alerts in Kyiv lasted 242 hours and 40 minutes. This accounts for 33.7% of the total time in the month, meaning that for nearly a third of September, the capital was under air raid alerts.
Over the course of 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 771 strikes on 41 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Three civilians were injured as a result of the attacks.
Russian troops launched a series of strikes on the Sumy region. As a result of the shelling, two people were killed and another 16 were wounded or injured, according to the National Police of Ukraine.
