Video: Russians launched another attack on Sumy while firefighters were putting out a fire at Epicenter
Russian troops launched a second attack on rescue workers who were putting out a fire following the attack on the "Epicenter" shopping center in Sumy. Six people were injured in the shelling, including four children.
According to the State Emergency Service, Russian forces carried out a series of strikes on Sumy and attacked rescue workers.
“A rocket-propelled UAV launched by the occupiers struck a 9-story residential building. A fire broke out on the first floor. Rescue workers evacuated the residents of the high-rise building. Six people were injured as a result of the strike, including four children,” the State Emergency Service noted.
Due to enemy shelling, the State Emergency Service noted, “a large-scale fire broke out in a shopping center.” “Just as rescue workers were beginning to extinguish the fire, the enemy launched repeated strikes. During one of the attacks, a service vehicle was destroyed and one State Emergency Service vehicle was damaged," the State Emergency Service reported. It was also noted that the area surrounding the building was attacked. Two cars caught fire. Rescue workers extinguished the fire.
As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,370 Russian soldiers. Updated data on Russian military casualties as of July 21 was released by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the Kherson region, 22 people were injured in Russian attacks over the past day.
Russia launched over a thousand strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
The Russians attacked an administrative building in Chernihiv; one person was wounded.
