Video: Defense Forces Intercepted a Russian Geran-5 Jet Drone for the Second Time Today
On September 19, the Security Service of Ukraine deployed a Ukrainian interceptor against a Russian “Geran-5” jet-powered drone for the second time that day. This was the second such incident on Saturday.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Facebook.
“This is already the second successful deployment today by the Security Service of Ukraine of the new Ukrainian interceptor drone. Soldiers from the SBU’s military counterintelligence unit shot down a Russian ‘Geran-5’ jet drone,” the head of state noted.
As a reminder, Russia struck a shopping center in Dnipro, causing a fire.

On Friday evening, September 18, Russian occupiers launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv.
On September 18, Russian troops attacked the Kremenchuk district in Poltava Oblast. Two people were injured in the strike and were hospitalized with moderate injuries.
