Video: Ukrainian MiG-29 Shoots Down Russian "Bandero" at Extremely Low Altitude
A Ukrainian MiG-29MU1 fighter jet intercepted and destroyed a Russian S8000 “Banderole” attack drone while defending Ukraine’s airspace. A video of the Ukrainian Air Force’s combat operations has surfaced online.
The fighter jet’s crew detected the enemy drone and intercepted it at extremely low altitude.
The Ukrainian pilot fired an R-60 air-to-air missile. As a result of the precise launch, the S8000 “Banderol” was destroyed in mid-air.
The released footage shows the fighter jet performing a maneuver at an extremely low altitude and firing a missile at the enemy target.
It is noted that during the interception, the crew had only a few seconds to make a decision. Ukrainian pilots continue to carry out combat missions, including intercepting Russian drones used to strike Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.
