Russia's losses over the past 24 hours have reached 1,190 troops — General Staff

On August 19, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported new losses suffered by the Russian army. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1,190 invaders, and the total losses of Russian personnel since the start of the full-scale invasion have exceeded 1.47 million soldiers.

 

As of August 19, Russia has suffered the following losses in the war with Ukraine:

  • personnel—approximately 1,471,160 (+1,190) people;
  • tanks – 12,276 (+2);
  • armored combat vehicles – 25,162 (+0);
  • artillery systems – 48,205 (+50);
  • multiple launch rocket systems – 2,043 (+3);
  • air defense systems – 1,577 (+0);
  • aircraft – 439 (+0);
  • helicopters – 354 (+0) units;
  • ground-based robotic systems – 2,311 (+19) units;
  • operational-tactical UAVs – 469,197 (+1,738) units;
  • cruise missiles – 5,010 (+0) units;
  • ships/boats – 35 (+0);
  • submarines – 2 (+0) units;
  • Vehicles and tanker trucks – 136,318 (+427) units;
  • special equipment – 4,548 (+1) units

As a reminder, on August 18, a Russian “Shahed” struck a modular shelter in Kramatorsk. The protective structure sustained significant damage from the direct hit.

On August 18, 2026, jet-powered drones were detected for the first time in western Ukraine. They traveled approximately 900 km from their launch site.

On the morning of August 18, Russia launched 76 jet-powered drones at Ukraine.
