Over the past day, the Russian army lost another 1,390 soldiers in the war against Ukraine. The Ukrainian General Staff also reports the destruction of three multiple-launch rocket systems, one air defense system, and more than 1,400 drones.

The Russians also lost other equipment over the past 24 hours, though the General Staff did not record new losses in specific categories.

Personnel losses have exceeded 1.49 million

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the total number of Russian military casualties since the start of the full-scale invasion has approached 1.5 million people. At the same time, it is important to note that this is specifically an estimate by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is impossible to independently verify the exact number of Russian casualties on the battlefield.

The General Staff’s statistics include combat losses of the Russian army, which Ukraine estimates based on data from the front lines and the operations of its own units. Separately, the Ukrainian military regularly reports on the destruction of Russian military equipment. These figures may also be revised in subsequent reports.

As of September 6, according to Ukrainian sources, Russia has already lost more than 12,300 tanks, nearly 49,300 artillery systems, and more than 501,000 tactical drones. The Ukrainian General Staff continues to update statistics on Russian losses daily.
