Zelenskyy confirmed strikes on St. Petersburg, Kronstadt, and Tambov
On the night of June 3, 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a large-scale long-range operation, striking a number of strategically important targets within the Russian Federation.
The targets included the St. Petersburg oil terminal, facilities at the Kronstadt base, and a defense enterprise in the Tambov region.
Soldiers from the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and the State Border Guard Service participated in the preparation and execution of this complex nighttime operation.
One of the key targets was the St. Petersburg oil terminal, located approximately 1,100 kilometers from Ukraine’s state border.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy specifically emphasized that this terminal is a vital part of the Russian oil industry, which directly funds and supports the war of aggression against our country.
The second major target of Ukrainian long-range strikes was purely military facilities located on the territory of the well-known Kronstadt base.
At the same time, a third strike hit an industrial facility in the Tambov region involved in the direct production of Russian weapons. The distance from the front line to this plant is nearly 600 kilometers.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy officially announced the successful completion of the combat mission on his Telegram channel.
