The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a Russian explosives factory with "Flamingo" missiles
Ukrainian forces launched an attack using FP-5 "Flamingo" missiles against the Russian "Promsintez" plant in Chapaevsk, Samara Oblast.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on its Facebook page.
“As part of efforts to reduce the military and economic potential of the Russian aggressor, on the night of March 28, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery in the Yaroslavl region of the Russian Federation. Hits on the refinery’s territory were recorded, followed by a fire,” the statement said.
The Yaroslavl Oil Refinery is a strategically important enterprise and one of the key facilities in the Russian oil refining industry. Its refining capacity is approximately 15 million tons of oil per year. The Yaroslavl Oil Refinery’s products include gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, and are critically important for the logistics of the enemy army.
As a reminder, on March 28, a series of explosions occurred at industrial facilities in Russia—an explosives factory was damaged in the Samara region, and an oil refinery was attacked in Yaroslavl.
Russian oil exporters have warned buyers of a possible declaration of force majeure regarding shipments through major Baltic Sea ports.
We previously reported that two Russian ports suspended operations following a drone attack.
