Over the past 24 hours, on August 7, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,190 Russian servicemen.
According to the General Staff, as of August 8, 2026, the Russian army’s losses are as follows:

- artillery systems — 47,580 (+58);
- multiple launch rocket systems — 2,009 (+1);

- ground-based robotic systems — 2,162 (+10);
- operational-tactical UAVs — 449,606 (+1,751);
- cruise missiles — 5,007 (+0);

- Vehicles and tanker trucks — 131,417 (+349);
- specialized equipment — 4,504 (+2).

On August 7, there were 192 combat engagements between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops on the front lines. The occupiers were most active in the Pokrovsk direction—25 assaults were recorded there over the past 24 hours, and Ukrainian forces neutralized 56 Russian soldiers.
