Ukrainian forces strike Russian oil depot and radar station — General Staff
On Friday, 23 January, Ukrainian defence forces hit several key Russian military targets. In Penza region, an oil depot and a radar station were struck. Other strikes hit key enemy positions, including in temporarily occupied territories, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Telegram.
“In a planned operation to reduce the enemy’s offensive capabilities and war‑economic potential, the ‘Penzanefteprodukt’ oil depot in Penza region was destroyed,” the statement said. A fire broke out at the site, which supports the Russian occupying forces; the full extent of the damage is being assessed.
The radar station “Podlyot” near Frunze in occupied Crimea was also confirmed destroyed. In temporarily occupied Donetsk region and Russia’s Belgorod region, concentrations of enemy personnel were struck; losses are being verified.
Meanwhile, Russian forces attacked volunteers and medics in Kharkiv region, resulting in casualties. On 22 January, Russian drones struck Dnipro, partially destroying a 16‑storey residential building, and ballistic missiles hit a residential building in Kryvyi Rih.
