UAF repelled 34 attacks on the Huliaipole direction in a single day

Over the past 24 hours, on 12 January, Ukrainian defenders repelled 159 enemy attacks, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The heaviest fighting took place in the Huliaipole direction, where Russian forces launched 34 assaults. The General Staff confirmed that Ukrainian troops are holding their positions despite massive pressure.

Russian occupiers carried out one missile strike and 43 airstrikes, dropping 105 guided bombs. They also deployed 7,919 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,587 artillery strikes, including 94 from MLRS. Ukrainian aviation responded effectively, destroying 10 enemy concentrations and two command posts.

Attacks were concentrated in Zaporizhzhia, hitting Verkhnyaya Tersa, Barvinivka, Lyubitske, and Vozdvizhivka. On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, 101 strikes were recorded, including seven MLRS launches. Ukrainian forces prevented enemy advances.

On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, six assaults were repelled near Kruhlyi, Ternova, Obukhivka, Degtyarne, Prylipka, and Hrafskyi. The Kupiansk direction withstood six attacks around Boryvska Andriivka, Petropavlivka, and Kurylivka, inflicting significant personnel and equipment losses on the enemy.

The Huliaipole sector stands out for its intense pressure—the 34 repelled attacks demonstrate the enemy’s attempt to break through. Ukrainian aviation and artillery continue to target enemy concentrations and logistics, leaving no respite.
