The Ukrainian Armed Forces are testing robotic turrets equipped with automatic weapons on the front lines

The Ukrainian military has begun testing new ground-based robotic systems equipped with Kalashnikov-system assault rifles in combat conditions.

The strike platforms were developed according to the technical specifications of the Brave1 defense innovation cluster. The project received grant funding, and it took the developers less than half a year to go from the initial idea to a finished prototype.

The system is built on a four-wheeled chassis with airless tires and features a protected hull. A twin turret allows for the mounting of two assault rifles simultaneously, increasing firepower during attacks or defense.

Several units of the Defense Forces are already deploying the new systems on the front lines. In particular, there are reports of the successful use of robotic systems by the SBU’s Special Operations Center “A” against Russian ambushes involving “Zhdu” drones.

The Ministry of Defense notes that the development of ground-based robotic systems should help reduce risks to infantry and carry out the most dangerous tasks without the direct presence of military personnel in the line of fire.
